The professional musicians of the CFO are drawn from a wide area from the Capital District and Columbia/Berkshire regions to the New York City Metropolitan area. They perform as freelance musicians in many different ensembles as well as Broadway shows and other musical theater productions. Some of their affiliations include the Albany Symphony, American Composers Orchestra, American Symphony, Berkshire Bach Ensemble, Bard Summerscape and Music Festival, Mostly Mozart Festival, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Springfield Symphony, and many others.  They also teach in such educational institutions as Smith, Williams, U Mass, Bard, Vassar, Yale, State Universities at Albany, Stony Brook and Purchase as well as many other public and private schools at a graduate and undergraduate level.
